had my first rehearsal for Shakes v. Shav. last night, and it was great. Almost all my notes as they went were such minor things... "Can you pause a little more where that comma is?", "Try that with a slightly drier tone." And then they did exactly what I suggested, perfectly." Someday, I'll direct something with an actor who is difficult, and I'll have no idea how to deal with them, and it'll be the fault of these actors.
I am certain that once we hit handling the puppets, I'll have a lot more issues, and there will be some when we try and deal with projection (since my actors will need to project from, well, behind a wall), but that'll come.
